Executive Chef Louie Yu helms the kitchen of the Chicago location of pan-Asian restaurant Sunda New Asian, which is located in River North at 110 W. Illinois. Yu has been with Sunda since December 2013. In addition to introducing new Southeast Asian cuisines to Sunda’s menu and adding his own spin to traditional dishes, Yu has helped Sunda expand its vegan offerings with dishes like his Khao Soi – a popular noodle served widely in northern Thailand. Yu brings nearly a decade of kitchen experience to his position. He earned his Associate of Arts degree in culinary arts from Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina.
