Joseph Fontelera is the executive chef of Arami Restaurant in Chicago, Illinois. He has worked in many of Chicago's top restaurants and Michelin starred kitchens. Most recently, Chef Fontelera was the Sushi Chef de Cuisine at Japonais by Morimoto under Iron Chef Morimoto before undertaking the executive chef role at Arami. He brings with him a vast array of knowledge and techniques accumulated through his many years working with the best in Japanese cuisine and fine dining.
In his off time, Chef Fontelera is an avid Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner and competitor. When not in the kitchen and not on the mats, Chef can be found spending time with his family and cuddling with cats.
